For our Property and Casualty department in Stockholm, we are seeking an Underwriter Facultative Property, on a permanent basis.

You can look forward to

As an Underwriter in Property, you will assess and price risks from the Nordic market – as well as negotiate terms and conditions with clients and brokers.

Your clients are insurance companies and captives operating in the Nordic region, but the risks may be located worldwide.

As an Underwriter, you will also conduct site visits and participate in market events to some extent. You work in an efficient and experienced underwriting team in close contact with accounting and underwriting support, and share experiences with other underwriting teams within Property and Casualty that focus on Treaty business, Construction/Engineering, Casualty and facultative business in Israel.

As an Underwriter, you have close contact with insurance/reinsurance brokers and also visit our customers, often with colleagues from other departments. The role is based on your ability to create businessoriented, long-term and good relationships with customers and intermediaries.


You come equipped with
 

• You have an academic degree in engineering, law or economics. If you have no academic degree in engineering, you should still have a profound understanding and experience in assessing survey reports for large / complex industrial risks

   

• You have worked for at least 3 years as an Underwriter of major property risks, or as a risk engineer

   

• For us it is important that you communicate well in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Hannover Re's corporate language is English

   

• You have a keen interest in fire safety and the manufacturing industry. You keep up to date in these areas through publications and networking meetings
